The building of the Rostov District Zemstvo
Detailed description
The building was built at the end of the 19th century. It is decorated in classical and Russian-Byzantine styles. In one of the volumes of the draft of the security zone of the historical center of Rostov-on-Don, prepared 20 years ago, it is reported that "in 1913, the house belonged to the Rostov county Zemstvo." The building is one of the elements forming the two old streets of Rostov and its historical center - the Old Bazaar Square. This is an interesting example of eclectic public architecture reflecting the neoclassical trend. The house is an important monument for the area, as well as for urban planning and architecture. It currently houses the Regional Center for Additional Education for Children.
