Since 1992, 4a and 4b Bolshaya Sadovaya Streets have housed Kalinin's former residential and apartment buildings, built in the second half of the 19th century. In the 1990s, the buildings were occupied by the Rostov Assembly and Construction Department and experimental construction workshops, which gave them a special atmosphere and importance.
