Rostov Museum of Local History of Russian-Armenian Friendship
Detailed description
The Museum of Russian-Armenian Friendship features exhibitions dedicated to Rostov-on-Don and the Don Cossacks, Armenian settlers who settled in these places in the 18th century, and workshops on traditional crafts, as well as lectures and concerts. One of the most valuable exhibits of the museum is a chain mail that belonged to the heroic Prince Pavel Promyslov, who lived in the XII century. In addition, unique items of Don culture are kept here, such as Cossack fur coats, ceramic products, ancient religious books and icons. Open lectures and master classes, as well as guided tours for schoolchildren and students, help not only to learn the history of their homeland, but also to broaden their horizons and learn new things.
