The house, designed by architect N.N. Durbach, is an architectural monument of the late XIX century.

The building was built from 1886 to 1889. The building is the largest in size among the wooden houses that Popov built. At the request of the customer, the facade was decorated in an elegant style. Both classical forms and Baroque decorative motifs can be read in the architecture of the building. The lower floor of the house was rented out to offices, and the owner himself lived on the second floor.
