Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos
Detailed description
The temple existed, according to the documents, even before the Lithuanian attack in 1609, but was destroyed. By the middle of the 19th century, the church was rebuilt - the five-domed temple had a surprisingly beautiful interior: the iconostasis was all gilded, and the walls were decorated with marble. Until 1995, the Annunciation Church was the only functioning church in the city. The church is popularly called the Mikhailo-Arkhangelsk church, based on the small altar.
