A typical residential building designed by P.S. Kalashnikov
Detailed description
When constructivism appeared in the USSR (1927), it came in handy for the construction of this house. The style in which laconism of forms and rationality of internal layout prevail is one of the most widespread. The house was built according to the project of one of the best architects of Rostov at that time, architect P.S. Kalashnikov. But it was he who restored the TSUM building, destroyed after the war, at the intersection of Engels Streets (now Bolshaya Sadovaya) and Budennovsky Avenues.
