Residential building of S.N. Kistov

The Kistov House is an example of Art Nouveau architecture and is one of the most significant architectural monuments of the city. The building has a rich exterior decoration with classic elements such as half columns, stucco emblems, decorative vases, garlands and balconies. The building was built in 1914 and is an important part of the historical appearance of the old part of the city. During its history, the building was used as an apartment building, an artillery brigade depot and Rostov State University, and currently it is the rector's office of the Southern Federal University and two of the oldest faculties. The apartment building was included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
