The Guardhouse Pavilion
Detailed description
The Guardhouse pavilion, which has not survived to this day, is wooden, painted in sand color, burned down in 1828. The purpose of the building was to protect the island, the palace complex and the citizens located on the island. Inside, this building was divided into two rooms — for officers and for soldiers of the guard company. In 1888, major repairs were carried out, the pavilion was expanded and decorated from the outside. After the revolution, there was a milk buffet in it, and in 1996 the building burned down again and, unfortunately, has not yet been restored.
