Astronomical Observatory

It is the only observatory in the city. It is located in Gorky Park, which houses the former planetarium building and the nearby 5.5-meter dome of a stargazing telescope. It was reconstructed by the park and city authorities in 2015. State-of-the-art equipment was installed, including 3D video lectures on astronomy and a planetarium projection room for virtual guided tours of the starry sky. There is also a small museum dedicated to space. Various lectures on astronomy are offered.
