Detailed description
The building in Rostov-on-Don was built in 1899 by architect A.N. Pomerantsev. It is one of the main buildings of the city. Initially, it housed the city Council and the mayor's office. In Soviet times, it housed the regional committee of the Communist Party of the USSR. Today, the building houses the office of the Mayor of Rostov-on-Don and the city Council. The City Duma building is included in the list of buildings of federal importance.
