The building of the private male real school of S.Ya. Yagubyants

The building of the private men's real school of S.Ya. Yagubyants was opened in 1908. The school was opened by S.Ya.Yagubyanets, a teacher of geography and drawing, at his own expense. Initially, a three-grade school was opened, but by 1912, a fourth grade had also appeared, and therefore the school received the status of a real school. The main focus was on the study of foreign languages, physics, drawing and natural sciences. Later, the school housed secondary school No. 8 named after Pokrovsky, secondary school No. 2, which was open to adults. Since the 1980s, the House of Pioneers has been located in the building, and currently the Leisure Extracurricular Center has been opened.
