A house with a dragonfly
Detailed description
A three-story brick building built in 1911 by a wealthy man Stepan Shatov. There are shops on the ground floor, and living quarters on the upper floors. This order has been preserved to the present day. The house got its romantic name due to the fact that one of the balconies is fenced with a wrought-iron lattice in the form of a dragonfly. Three wooden window frames from pre-revolutionary times have been preserved. Now the house is recognized as an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. Nearby are the Museum of Fine Arts, Gorky Park, the House of Officers.
