Detailed description

The Church of St. Vlasius in Torzhok got its name in honor of the holy martyr. It had five thrones, the main of which was the Kazan Throne of the Mother of God. In 1625 the church was wooden, but in 1721 (1733) a new stone one was built. In 1937-39, the church was closed, and then it was used as a warehouse of the RPS. The priest N.N.Nekrasov was repressed. In 2003, the church was transferred to St. Nicholas Parish Church.
