Magistrate's Building
Detailed description
In the 68th year of the 18th century, the magistrate's building was erected. It was originally built as the main house of the Kutafiev estate. In the 18th century, the merchant went bankrupt, and the house was bought at the expense of the city treasury. Subsequently, a mezzanine was added and the building was redeveloped. The new premises housed various city institutions. It is a two-storey building with a mezzanine, brick and plastered, was built in the shape of a rectangle. The central part of the main southern facade is highlighted by a small risalite. There was a balcony on the second floor. On the northern facade, the house has a large ledge in the center - there is a staircase leading to the second floor and the mezzanine. Currently, the Administration of the Torzhok district is located here.
