The building of the city stock exchange Society

The former main building of the stock exchange association, built in 1912 in the then fashionable Art Nouveau style. It has become one of the centers of the city's business community. Rich merchants of the Don region gathered here, including the Paramonov, Scaramanga, Panchenko and Maximov families. It was a place for trading goods, as well as for various operations with securities and foreign exchange. When the Soviet government came to power, the buildings were confiscated, and the merchants had to flee, but not everyone succeeded. Currently, the buildings of the old stock exchange have been restored and included in the list of important cultural heritage sites in the region.
