Residential house of H.V. Chernova
Detailed description
In the 1870s, a building was erected, which to this day stands out for its neoclassical style. The facade is decorated simply and concisely, but its architectural and artistic appearance is determined by unique details made of brick: the architraves of the first floor (now plastered) with decorative locks, the countertops of the second floor, complemented by rectangular sanders with teeth, the blades flanking the passage and the upper opening, the lower window sills, the floor-to-floor thrust with teeth, two-part entablature, etc. There are diagonal hairline cracks above the openings and in the window sill area, and the gate panels in the passage have been replaced, and the iron roof has been replaced with slate. The building has a rectangular shape in plan, a two-story structure with a basement and a multi-pitched roof made of brick. In 1913, this building was owned by H. V. Chernova. This residential building, built in the neoclassical style, is a monument of civil architecture of the last quarter of the 19th century and reflects the stylistic diversity of buildings in the historical center of the city.
