All-Russian Historical and Ethnographic Museum

The All-Russian Historical and Ethnographic Museum was founded in 1988. The museum is located in the historical center of Torzhok and occupies several buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. Exhibitions on various topics are held from time to time in the Museum Row. The museum also has an art workshop called Istok, which aims to promote traditional Russian textiles and the famous Novotshitsk gold embroidery.
