The building of the restaurant Balkans

In Soviet times, the restaurant was very fashionable, but it was expensive and was not open to everyone. It was the first Rostov catering establishment that was allowed to work until midnight. Balkan's clientele also included people connected to the criminal world.In 1974, there was a scandalous incident involving a chase and a shootout at the Volcano. The Balkan was closed in the 1990s; in the 2000s it was converted into a plumbing warehouse. Now the building is empty and dilapidated. Attempts were made to sell it, but no buyer was found.
