You will see the main sights of the Ossetian gorges, appreciate waterfalls, canyons, mountain rivers, family towers, a rock fortress and the "city of the dead". You will also hear the most interesting things about Caucasian traditions and customs. In the heart of Ossetia through three gorges: Kurtatinsky, Dargavsky and Karmadonsky. We will start our tour with the business card of North Ossetia — the Kurtatinsky gorge. The first stop on our route will be the observation deck at Kadargavan Canyon — on this section of the rocky mountain range, the river "Fiagdon", as if with a sword cut the rock into two parts. Next, we will stop at the Dzivgis rock fortress, which is the largest and most powerful fortification not only in Ossetia, but also in the entire Caucasus. Then you will see the highest mountain monastery in Russia and discover a lot of interesting things about Orthodox Alanya and the native Ossetian faith. After that, you will find a swing with a panoramic view of the mountains and an art object of the Ossetian letter "æ". Then we will go to the Midagraba valley of waterfalls — one of which, the big "Zygelan", is the highest waterfall in Europe. After a delicious lunch, we will go to the "City of the Dead" Dargavs. This is the name of a complex of 95 crypt structures, the largest of its type in the Caucasus. Here you can explore the ancient crypts and find out why people of that time resorted to this method of burial. You will also see the Karmadon gorge, one of the most striking landscape spots in the republic, infamous for the collapse of the Kolka Glacier in 2002. Estimate the scale of the disaster, when in 15 minutes the gorge was filled with a 200-meter layer of ice and rocks. You will see the glacier itself and the tunnel where the Sergei Bodrov film crew was searching. The tour takes place in a car prepared for mountain roads.
