The estate of the Usachevs-Naydenovs
Detailed description
The estate was built by order of merchants V. N. and P. N. Usachev, who were engaged in the tea trade. The architect of the project was Domenico Gilardi, a Swiss master of his craft, and this work became one of the last in Russia. Initially, the estate occupied two plots, one of which in the past belonged to Grand Duke Ivan III. In 1831, the Khludovs bought the yard near Yauza from Naydenov and expanded the estate. In the late 1880s, all ownership passed to Naydenov, and the estate's park, laid out by amateur gardener Usachev, became a popular vacation spot for Muscovites. Currently, the estate is engaged in the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.
