We will have 3 days, but we will have a lot of time – we have a busy program waiting for us. We will visit the most beautiful places of Altai: confluences of rivers, mountain passes, archaeological and natural monuments, caves, waterfalls, we will see the beauty of maralnik blooming.

day 01
MOUNTAINS, CAVES, MEETING WITH ALTAI

- 7:30 a.m. car and Barnaul railway station
- 8:00 near the Passage shopping center (Barnaul ave. Lenina, 2B)
- Gorno-Altaysk airport 12:30 (guests arriving in Gorno-Altaysk do not get on excursions to the village of Srostki and the steles of the Altai Republic)
First, we will visit the homeland of the Soviet film director, actor and writer V.M. Shukshin — in the village of Srostki, where we will climb Mount Picket. From here there is a view of Katun, and we will see the first mountain, Babyrgan. You can use it to determine the weather, and the mountain itself is the center of magnetism!
The next stop is a whole complex of monuments symbolizing the national flavor, history, and vital activity of the Altai people.
After lunch, we will conquer the Devil's Finger, a mountain associated with legends. The ascent will take about an hour, and from above you will see a wonderful panorama of the Katun River, mountains and forests.
Then we will go to the Tavda caves, there are a whole complex of them – more than 30 pieces, they form a complex system, connecting with each other by cross passages. We will visit the center of the complex – the Bolshaya Tavdinskaya cave. Here you can meet the guardian, the shape of an eagle and the parking lot of ancient people. Stone tunnels and a magnificent bird's-eye view are waiting for us!
We will walk through the pine forest and see the monument to the artist and philosopher Nicholas Roerich. There is also the Ichthyander grotto and several observation decks with extensive views of the Katun River.
We'll see the dragon's teeth. Stone fangs stick out right in the middle of the river. You can get closer to them by using a wooden bridge that rests on the rocks.
In the evening we arrive at the base, relax and prepare for new adventures!
day 02
MARALNIK, VALLEY OF SPIRITS AND ROCK ISLAND

Guided tour of the gorge of mountain spirits – a place of strength for the Altai people. We will visit the stream of health, a waterfall, and an observation deck with stunning views of the Katun River valley. We will see a cave and rock carvings, which reflect the life and history of the Scythians.
Let's get to The Orokto bridge over the gorge, where the Katun River is squeezed between the rocks and here its deepest place is more than 70 meters!!!
Today we are looking for top locations for photo shoots against the background of blooming maralnik.
Next, an excursion to Patmos. We will walk over the suspension bridge to the rocky island, which is located in the middle of a mountain river. An active temple has been built here, and you can visit it. And the Chemalskaya hydroelectric power station is located nearby, now it is not operating, but it looks very impressive. The road to the hydroelectric power station is also interesting, we will follow the "goat" path in the mountains along the Katun River.
And after a busy day, we will stop at the apiary, where we will be given a guided tour and we can participate in a tasting of Altai honey!
day 03
WATERFALL AND RAPIDS

We are waiting for a walk to Kamyshlinsky waterfall, where the height of the water drop is several tens of meters! The path to it will lie through the forest, along the Katun River and will take about 40 minutes.
We will stop for lunch, and later we will see the Manzherok rapids, where we will learn the history of rafters in Altai and admire the water element. The rushing waters of the river rush between huge rocks, creating dangerous whirlpools. After a rough area, the water becomes calm and this place is called the Katun Mirror, the depth of the river in this area is up to 30 meters!
We will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs if you have not yet had time to choose a gift from Altai.: There are herbal teas, honey, and pine nuts.
Arrival at the airport of Gorno-Altaysk at 16:00. Arrival in Barnaul at 20:00.
