Barinovka windmill
Detailed description
The last tent-type windmill ("Dutch") in the village of Barinovka, Neftegorsky district, which has survived on a historical site in the Samara region. It was built in 1848. Its 175th anniversary was celebrated in 2023. Currently, it is the only fully operational cultural heritage site of this type in Russia, located in its historical place, which has now become the central part of the territory of the Barinovskaya Mill Ecopark.
The main initiator of the project to restore the Barinovskaya mill is State Duma deputy Alexander Yevseyevich Khinstein.
There is also a miller's House on the territory of the Barinovskaya Mill Ecopark, which was restored to its former location according to historical research. There is a bakery, cooking classes, a large range of baked goods, a Russian oven, and a museum with antique exhibits of peasant household items from the 19th and 20th centuries. You can also buy fragrant fragrant tea and hot, hearty pancakes with various fillings and arrange a comfortable snack on the veranda of the miller's House with a stunning view of the Barinovskaya mill.
