Zakharovo Manor
Description
* It was built in the 18th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, it was acquired by Pushkin's grandmother, Maria Alekseevna Hannibal. The house where Pushkin visited as a child has not been preserved. At the beginning of the 20th century, a new wooden mansion was built on its foundation, very accurately repeating the shapes of its predecessor. The building burned down in 1993. The manor house was recreated for the 200th anniversary of Pushkin's birth in 1999. Nowadays, the manor houses a museum dedicated to the childhood of the great Russian poet and novelist Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Several historical and cultural monuments have been preserved. Among them are the palace and its outbuildings dating back to the 18th century, and outbuildings. The main building is made in classical style with Baroque and Rococo elements. It is decorated with gilded statues, frescoes and carved details.
