Cast iron bridge
Description
Architectural style: Classic
* The cast-iron bridge was built in 1823. It is located near the Temple of Friendship. The bridge has wide abutments made of hewn stone. The roadway of the bridge was covered with corrugated cast-iron diamond-shaped tiles. There are pedestals with huge bowls on each corner of the bridge. The high level of craftsmanship of Russian casting in the first quarter of the 19th century is evidenced by light balustrades, decorations of plinths and vases with thin edge ornaments fastened with round rosettes.
