* Spring, spring, spring! Friends, tourists and nature lovers, winter has played its parting chord. And in the gorges of Mezmai, the time has come for the first tender greenery. The forest was covered with a green carpet of wild cherry and ferns, cyclamen and primroses. It was filled with birdsong and the sound of streams and waterfalls gathering strength. Now is the most "waterfall time", when there is already a lot of water and it is still clean. You need to see the waterfalls in all their glory before the heavy rains in May and June! We will spend the whole day walking light through the fragrant spring forest, listening to birds singing and enjoying the beauty of the multi-cascaded Alabaster and Moon waterfalls. The Alabaster River, one of the tributaries of Kurdzhips, was named by geologists who discovered deposits of alabaster and selenite (moonstone), a type of gypsum. And the Moon Waterfall, according to one version, owes its name to the mysterious glow of its cascades on moonlit nights. In a convenient location near one of the waterfalls, we will have breakfast with delicious tea and various delicacies. And on the way back we will get into a real fabulous forest. The yew-boxwood forest will amaze you with its bizarre shapes. Boxwood trees overgrown with mosses and huge beeches entwined with ivy vines resemble a mysterious jungle. And the path winds comfortably among all this beauty along the left bank of the foam-white tributary of the Alabaster River. Some tourists stick in this forest for a long time, unable to tear themselves away from the surrounding nature. The route is circular, not difficult and can be done by adults and children. The total length of the route is 6 km. Climb up to 400m. The walk will take from 3 to 4 hours.
