Saxon Switzerland is a unique landscape reserve stretching along the valley of the Elbe River in the foothills of the Czech Ore Mountains. Thousands of amazing sandstone cliffs and deep exotic gorges framed by a beautiful, pristine forest are a magnet for tourists from all over the world.
During the tour of Saxon Switzerland, tourists will climb the Bastei rock, a favorite of travelers. It has panoramic viewing platforms with stunning views of the beauty of the reserve. Travelers will also see the famous stone bridge between the rocks, the stone fortress of the XV century and the amazing serpentine road to Bastai, starting on the banks of the Elbe.
On the territory of the fortress you will see the oldest preserved barracks in Germany, the ancient garrison church, an active well of the XVI century, cut into the rock at a depth of 152 meters, casemates, arsenals, ancient taverns and much more.
When going on an excursion, it is mandatory to have a passport with a visa and MEDICAL INSURANCE.
