* A walk through one of the most cozy areas of the center of Moscow, located in the White City. Ancient monasteries and churches, manors and gardens of the Moscow nobility have been preserved here. As well as traces of pre-revolutionary criminal Moscow and the dark years of Stalin's repressions. Ivanovskaya Hill is one of the seven mythical hills of Moscow. The local terrain has a complex relief: ascents, descents, bends of roads ... The winding alleys of Ivanovskaya Gorka conceal the remaining crumbs of Old Moscow life. We will see two temples, in the name of which the ancient toponym "On Kulishki" has been preserved, we will learn the mysterious legends associated with the prisoners of the Ivanovo monastery, the miraculously preserved Morozovsky Garden, next to which, thanks to the efforts of the merchants Morozov, Isaac Levitan worked in a separate house. Then we will go down to Khitrovskaya Square. Here in the second half of the XIX century, after the abolition of serfdom, a kind of "labor exchange" was formed: impoverished peasants looking for work in Moscow flocked here, as well as Moscow criminal elements: thieves and robbers who settled in local flophouses. The history of Khitrovka is vividly described in V. Gilyarovsky's book "Moscow and Muscovites".
