Of course, by car we will have the opportunity to stop wherever we want, it will be easier for us to explore the city and see many more attractions (while not getting too tired). A little bit about Vyborg When talking about Vyborg, a metaphor is often used — it is a Russian city with a Western European face. Vyborg has been part of Sweden, Finland, and Russia, but in many ways it has managed to preserve the atmosphere of that medieval city – and you and I will be able to feel this atmosphere. You must admit that it is unusual in the 21st century to find oneself in the era of chivalry, the Middle Ages. The epithet "unique" is well suited to the city: the only medieval knight's castle in Russia stands here, quite well preserved; the best—preserved fortifications are located here; mini-fortress residential buildings are located here, such as those preserved only in Vyborg and even one of the oldest residential buildings in Russia, and we will be able to see all this and much more another "most unique" one! The route is planned so that we will see all the main sights of the "Old Town", we will also visit the island on which the same medieval Swedish knight's Castle is located, admire its main tower - the tower of St. Olaf.
