Barrier gate No. 121 North

Barrier gate No. 121 is a hydraulic engineering structure located on the route of the Moscow shipping Canal between the Khimkinskoye and Klyazminskoye reservoirs and serves to cut off the canal section between these two lakes, if necessary. The barrier gates are made according to a single-span Thomas farm scheme. The trusses consist of two inclined wooden frames fastened at the bottom with a metal box for automatic release of the lifting mechanism. In the raised state, the frames are adjacent to each other, forming a wall. Water resistance is achieved by installing flexible additional seals.
