The building of the Institute of Biological Physics
Detailed description
The building was built for the Institute of Physics in the period from 1915 to 1917 by architect A.N. Sokolov in collaboration with experimental physicist P.N. Lebedev. After the revolution and nationalization, the Institute of Biological Physics, headed by academician P.P. Lazarev, was located here. An X-ray scan of Lenin's chest was performed here on April 22, 1922, before the operation to extract the bullet. This building is recognized as an object of cultural heritage of federal significance, which needs to repair the facade.
