Sulak canyon, Zubutli village and Sarykum Barkhan are the places from which it is worth starting a trip to Dagestan. We start with the Chirkeysky reservoir, which is the largest reservoir in the Caucasus, with a width of 5 km, a length of 40 km, and a coastline of more than 80 km. Picturesque cliffs, fresh mountain air, and clear water await you. The local landscapes are so stunning that many tourists compare them to the famous Norwegian fjords. You can see this personally by going up to the village of Dubki and visiting the observation deck of the Sulak Canyon. By the way, this is the deepest canyon in Europe and it is 63 m deeper than the famous Grand Canyon in the USA. Then we will go down to the village of Zubutli, and with a breeze we will take a boat ride along the Sulak Canyon. And after that, we'll happily go to a cafe for lunch and taste freshly caught fish cooked on coals. In the menu: - trout baked on coals - a miracle of several kinds - French fries - vegetable slicing - tea and compote After satisfying your hunger and thirst, you can move on. Sarykum barkhan is the final stage of the excursion program. Sarykum is notable for two facts — it is the largest sand dune on the European continent and some scenes of the Soviet film "White Sun of the Desert" and the recently released film "Bremen Town Musicians" were shot here. You can explore the surroundings yourself and get to know the representatives of the local flora and fauna. At the end of the tour, the group departs back to Makhachkala.
