Description

Type: Single-day activity
Duration: 2 hours
* Near the city of Bremen is the fabulous village of Worpswede, which became a colony of German artists in the 19th century. Many celebrities have lived and worked here. The architecture of the village is characterized by unusual buildings that are comfortably located in the park and in the forest. We will walk along the paths of the village and forest paths, get acquainted with the interesting fates of German artists, one of whom left for the Soviet Union in 1931. We will visit the local church and admire the painting on its wall, painted by one of the artists of Worpswede. We will explore the Barkenhof estate, an unusual house in the shape of a cheese bell, an open-air sculpture park and much more. After the tour, you can have a coffee or a snack in one of the many and very cozy cafes in the village.
