* Pskov has its own charm, it is full of ancient architectural monuments, cozy, it breathes deeply here and Pushkin's "Here is the Russian spirit, here it smells of Russia!" comes to mind. But it was this quiet city that withstood hundreds of assaults and sieges, small and large wars. Pskov is the frontier frontier of Russia, surrounded by impregnable walls and having its own special temper. Architecture, which, according to Gogol, is the chronicle of the world, tells us about the character of any city, about the life and mentality of its inhabitants in its own special language. We will talk about it in particular during the tour. First, we will take a walk around the Pskov Kremlin, where we will recall the beginning of the city's existence, how, due to its border position, it gradually turned into the largest center of craft and international trade, recall how Pskov residents made noise at the veche, visit the Trinity Cathedral, where we will marvel at the grandeur of its seven-tiered iconostasis and talk about the most revered icons, let us recall the patron saints of the ancient city, whose relics rest in the cathedral. Then we will stroll through the ancient streets of the historical center of the city, see the largest tower of the Pskov fortress — Pokrovskaya, where we will talk about the longest siege of Pskov by the Polish king at the end of the 16th century. We will see the legendary Rattling Tower, built in the 16th century... by an Italian master. There will also be merchant chambers on our way, solid, with thick walls: the chambers of merchant Pogankin, the chambers of the Menshikovs. There will certainly be temples — small and significant in size, all different and at the same time similar. We will definitely see the Church of the Epiphany from the Moscow region of the 15th century, the Grand Art of Pskov building art, which the famous French architect Le Corbusier specially came to Pskov to admire.
