We will visit the mountainous Lake Sevan, the largest in Armenia and in the entire Caucasus region, stretching at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. No matter how hot it is in the valley, it is always fresh here. Sevan is of volcanic origin, the landscapes here are very picturesque: These are mountain slopes overgrown with pine trees, alpine meadows, steppes and wild pebble beaches, the surrounding area is a national park area. On the rocky peninsula of the lake there is one of the most famous sights of Armenia - Sevanavank Monastery, which is now operating again. Previously, several churches, a watchtower, monks' cells and outbuildings were located here behind the strongest walls. In 921, the monks even participated in a battle with Arab soldiers, then the king of Armenia won. Two churches of St. Arakelots (874) and St. Karapet (305) have survived to our time. Breakfast. Sightseeing trip "Beauty of Armenia". Tsakhkadzor is a popular ski and climatic resort. The highly discharged air of the resort has a positive effect on people's health, saturating the blood with oxygen. Tsakhkadzor was a favorite place for athletes to gather before important competitions. We will visit the main cultural attraction of Tsakhkadzor, the Kecharis Monastery, founded in the 11th century. The monastery complex includes four churches, two chapels, an ancient cemetery and several non-residential buildings. In your free time, you can take the cable car to one of the mountain peaks and enjoy the stunning views (the ticket is paid extra). Next, we will go to Yerevan, where you will visit the Ararat brandy factory.
