We will meet in front of the cemetery and first have a bit of introduction to the history of burials and then dive straight into a remarkable work of architect Jože Plečnik, the spectacular, truly spectacular, Garden of All Saints which is also protected by UNESCO cultural heritage. On the must-see list is also the architect's grave that Plečnik himself designed. On the way we see some more tombstones designed by the famous architect and his students, tombs of important Slovenians and some that are just beautiful and /or designed by famous Slovenian sculptors. On our walk through the park-like cemetery, we will get to see some amazing memorials hidden all over the cemetery, including a Jewish cemetery, an Italian memorial, an Austrian memorial and a German memorial among others. You will learn a lot about Slovenian or Ljubljana history, Plečniks creations and his life. You will hear stories of how they were burring in the past and what is fashionable today.
