The river with the beautiful name Agura formed a gorge at the foot of Mount Akhun. A path was cut into the vertical rock to pass through it more than a hundred years ago. It's hard to imagine today, but in some places the places where explosives were laid are still visible. The first stop on the route is the mysterious Devil's Font. Here the rocks curl into amazing waves, huge boulders lie on the shore, and garlands of climbing plants hang over the cave with bats. From the font, past the platforms overlooking the steep cliffs, the path goes to the first waterfall, which consists of two cascades. They fall into a deep lake from a height of 30 meters. Everyone who gets here cannot deny themselves the pleasure of jumping from stone to stone, reaching the middle of the riverbed and taking a memorable photo. Next, a narrow winding path rises to the second hidden in dense trees, and then to the observation deck opposite the third, the most spectacular 23-meter waterfall. It is especially impressive in spring and summer, when the snow melts, or after heavy rain, when tons of water rush down with a deafening roar. Next, our path leads to the Eagle Rocks, the ascent is simple and takes an average of 25 minutes. On the observation deck, we will admire the panorama of the Main Caucasian Ridge, the sea and Mount Akhun. Here you can have lunch with your own groceries or place an order at a cafe. At the end of the trip, we will visit the source of the famous hydrogen sulfide healing water of Matsesta. Our guide will tell you about its medicinal properties.
