Derbent, Naryn Kala fortress and ancient mountain regions

We will meet at the airport at 12:00. We drive to Incheon resort, on the way we buy fruits and chill on the beach during the season, of course.
Derbent is known all over the world as one of the most ancient cities in the world. Its history goes back 5,000 years. Just think about it — the pyramids of Egypt were built around the same time. The Naryn Kala fortress and its walls, which once stretched directly into the sea, are witnesses to the rise and fall of more than one state. An excellent guide, a local resident, and just a spokesman for the Naryn Kala Memorial Museum will help us touch history and get into the vortex of civilizational waves.
We spend the night in Derebent.

A trip from Derbent to the mountains of Tatarstan

In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit the unique village of Kubachi, where artisans and silversmiths have worked since ancient times. The works of Kubachinsky craftsmen can be admired in the Hermitage, the Louvre and other world-class museums. Or you can go on a tour with us and attend a master class on making silverware.
Driving on Dagestan roads is an incredible pleasure in itself, with breathtaking views opening up around every turn, from which it is impossible to take your eyes off and get tired, they are so diverse and magnificent!
After lunch in a master class and lunch in Kubachi, we will go deep into the mountains of Dagestan, where we will live the remaining days in a guest house with all the amenities.

Gamsutl village - Chokh village

After lunch in Chokh village, where they make delicious miracles, the secret of which is not revealed until you give birth to three boys, we will visit the wonderful Saltinsky waterfall. It's a magical place. The water pours into a stone bowl through an opening in the rock above you. If we go to Sapi in the summer season, then we don't get to the Saltinsky waterfall. It is located off the route.

Matlas Khan Waterfall - Khunzakh - Tobot

Today we will visit the "heart" of Dagestan — the village of Khunzakh — it was here that the capital of Sarir, the ancient Avar state, was located, which defended its independence twice in the struggle against the Persian conquerors, then Khunzakh became the capital of the influential Khunzakh Khanate. Now Khunzakh is more famous for the highest waterfall in Dagestan, which is called Tobot.
Our way will continue to Matlas, where we will be able to take a fascinating walk along the bottom of the Stone Bowl. We will walk along the bottom of the gorge with a mysterious cosmic depression in the rock. It will also be possible to walk under the waterfall, where the khan's daughters and wives took baths in ancient times.

Karadakh Gorge - Kahib and Goor

Morning in the mountains with a mountain breakfast and departure along the serpentine. We are waiting for a meeting with the famous villages, where the troops of the Tatar-Mongols visited, and where the Silk Road passed. On the way, if the weather is favorable, we will stop at the Karadakh gorge. This is a picturesque gorge with an incredible symphony of stone shapes.
We will also see the most ancient Christian church in Russia. It is safely hidden in the rocks near the riverbed of the huge Avar Spit.
Kahib and Goor. Goor is a settlement with rare ancestral towers that have survived to this day. We will be able to climb the towers and look at the "mystery of the blue mountains" through the eyes of the inhabitants of the XV century.

The mottled ribbon of the Sulak Canyon

The water in the canyon is the purest. Dagestanis drive fast not only cars, but also boats and take a ride with the breeze, slowing down at waterfalls overgrown with moss and in the most picturesque places.
Lunch will take place at the Trout Farm on the canyon shore.
