* We offer you a trip through one of the most interesting regions of Karelia – the Zaonezhsky Peninsula. You will reach it in a couple of hours from Petrozavodsk along the picturesque Kola federal highway, and then cross Zaonezhye from north to south, getting acquainted with the sights, history and famous residents along the way. After reaching the Kizhi Skerries, where the ice rises much earlier than the open lake, you will transfer to hovercraft and find yourself on Kizhi Island. An excursion and an additional tea party program will be waiting for you on Kizhi Island. You can have a snack at the cafe, which is located on the route in the city of Medvezhegorsk. A TRIP THROUGH ZAONEZHYE: The second largest lake in Europe freezes completely almost every year and provides an excellent opportunity to move around it on hovercrafts. KIZHI POGOST: Winter and summer churches, as well as the churchyard bell tower, greet guests with their recognizable silhouette. OPEN-AIR MUSEUM: On the territory of the Kizhi Museum you will see peasant houses and chapels, baths and outbuildings, learn the specifics of their construction and use during an exciting excursion. TEA PARTY ON THE ISLAND: After a walk in the frosty, clean air, hot tea is always welcome. Especially if it was lovingly collected in an ecologically clean area and brewed with spring water. Zaonezhskaya pastries are included. The program of the trip: ⁃ 08:00 – departure from the Severnaya Hotel ⁃ 08:00-12:00 – transfer from Petrozavodsk to Oyatevshchyna ⁃ 12:30-13:00 – transfer to Kizhi Island by hovercraft ⁃ 13:00-14:30 – sightseeing tour "Masterpieces of Kizhi Island" on the main exposition of the museum ⁃ 14:30-15:30 – free time on Kizhi Island ⁃ 15:30-16:00 – return to the SVP to the bus ⁃ 21:00 – return to Petrozavodsk • Important: the group spends from 2 to 3 hours on the island, depending on the weather (there are warm toilets on the island, but there are no other rooms with heating) • Current: December 28 – January 10
