For 2 years now, artists from all over the world have been transforming a remote area. There are 33 murals dedicated to local themes and the north, as well as stories about artists and the impact of art on people's lives. Colorful murals in the capital of the Arctic First, we'll stop at a cafe for a delicious coffee with a bun, and then plunge headlong into the world of street art. To do this, we will go to the residential Leninsky district in search of houses with masterpieces on the walls. You will see 33 murals in different styles and with different plots. Some contain the stories of the artists themselves, while others capture the world of the indigenous population, for example, a Sami girl in a national costume or the legend of Myandasha, the reindeer man, the ancestor of the Sami. Conversations about the past and the present. The guide will tell you about how artists come to create such complex and large images, about the techniques of application, about the meanings embedded by the creators. Let's not ignore the history of art: let's recall the first drawings on the walls, famous masters of the past, the monumental art of the 20th century from different countries and the USSR. We will also discuss how the festival has affected the quality of life, renovation and landscaping of the area.
