* Sivtsev Vrazhek Lane is only 800 meters long, and how many events and destinies are intertwined in it! It was here that Leo Tolstoy felt a craving for literary work, Alexander Herzen met with like-minded people, young Marina Tsvetaeva settled with her husband, Sergei Yesenin visited, Boris Pasternak met the revolution… In the alley lived the adventurer and duelist Fyodor Tolstoy — a well-known "American" throughout Moscow. Writer S.T. Aksakov and composer S.I. Taneyev rented manor houses here. In the "trefoil house" of architect Ladovsky lived the author of the text of the most performed Soviet song "Moscow Evenings" - the poet Mikhail Matusovsky. Prominent Soviet military leaders lived in the elite brick houses of the 1960s and 70s. After the Great Patriotic War, a grandiose building of the Kremlin Polyclinic was built in the center of the lane. Once the river Sivka flowed here in a ravine, then it was removed into the collector, over which the current lane passed. We will see samples of post–fire buildings in Moscow, apartment buildings of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, a unique garden pavilion, sculptures by Alexander Burganov and much more.
