OLD CASTLE CELJE Romantic, enticing, magnificent, dark, frightening – the Celje Old Castle. It is a must-see sight for all visitors to Celje. This twelve-century castle is the biggest medieval castle in Slovenia. It was built by the Counts of Vovberg, but the most famous residents in its rich history were the Counts of Celje, who lived in the castle for more than 100 years. A mighty walled caste towering over the city is sure to leave you speechless. Once you visit it, it will stay in your memories forever. HEALTH RESORT ROGAŠKA SLATINA For the beginning we will take a walk along the Health resort, which has for centuries been offering relaxation and a glass of healing mineral water. We will visit the Forest and Ivan’s spring (the springs in nature), and then we will go to drinking hall of mineral waters to try unique natural healing mineral water Donat Mg. We will spend a short time in the Crystal hall of the Grand Hotel Rogaška, wich even today hosts numerous concerts, recitals and theater performances. MONASTERY OLIMJE Visit the Olimje Monastery - the oldest Slovenian pharmacy with a domestic botanical garden with nearly two hundred species of medicinal herbs and in "God's pharmacy" monks are happy to offer an array of homemade herbal infusions, tinctures, ointments and various other remedies. OLIMJE CHOCOLATE SHOP The Olimje chocolate shop is a family-run company that brought back to life the tradition of its forefathers, who made chocolate in Vienna before the onset of the First World War. Today, they offer a wide array of handmade chocolates. From chocolate figurines to truffles, from chocolate bars to dragées to various selected chocolates, you will be hard pressed to find your favorite product. You will be able to witness how chocolates are made and also purchase handmade truffles.
