* Schönbrunn is the main summer residence of the Austrian Habsburg emperors.
If it were not for the love of the men of the Imperial house of Habsburg for hunting, then we would not see the UNESCO World Heritage Site as our ears.
According to legend, back in the 17th century, Emperor Matthias ran out of water in a canteen while galloping after the wild fauna of the forest. Then he got off his horse and hobbled off, suffering from gout, to look for a spring in the forest. And what do you think? I found it! He drank the water and exclaimed: "Oh, how beautiful the spring is!" The palace, which was built near this place, was named Sch?nbrunn.
Today we will visit the imperial villa Sch?nbrunn. There are two important palaces in Vienna and, interestingly, they are located on the same axis. In the 19th century, the industrious Emperor Franz Joseph drove down the same street to Schoenbrunn every morning and returned to the Hofburg Palace in the evening. But let's not get distracted.
So what is remarkable about the "Wonderful Spring" and why do we need to go there? I'll select the "cream" for you:
The palace where Rococo luxury is best preserved in Europe;
A huge park with various pavilions, flower beds, green corridors and gazebos;
The two-hundred-year history of the country, sealed in frescoes, marble busts, furniture and personal items in the palace, starting with Queen Maria Theresa and ending with the last Emperor Charles, with whose expulsion from Austria ended the six-hundred-year history of the dynasty.;
The oldest zoo in the world, founded by the Masonic Emperor Franz Stefan Lothringen, is filled to the brim with a variety of animals. ZOO Sch?nbrunn has been receiving medals as the best zoo in Europe for several years in a row;
The rose garden and strudel show in the courtyard's ancient kitchen, the children's museum, the clatter of horses harnessed to carts, the sleeping imperial carriages in the Wagenburg Museum — everything beckons, attracts and leaves no one indifferent.
So what are you waiting for? We're going on a field trip!
