* An inconspicuous building in Zamoskvorechye, near the Paveletskaya metro station, hides a 43-meter-deep mine. It leads to an underground bunker built at the turn of the 1950s and 60s to house the special archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Until recently, the most important secret materials defining the international policy of our country were stored here. In addition to three storages, a two-storey climate control unit (launched during the tour), as well as a transformer substation, battery and oxygen rooms, a bathroom and an evacuation exit to the subway tunnel have been preserved in working condition in the bunker. Only in 2018, after the facility was deemed technically obsolete, the first visitors were allowed into it. If you are interested in the real interiors of underground Moscow, without cosmetic repairs and fictional legends, then you are here. In one of the rooms of the Bunker there is an exposition of the Museum of Modern Fortification: a map of Moscow with secret objects indicated on it, drawings and photographs of declassified bunkers, radiochemical reconnaissance devices, chemical protection equipment, sets of toxic substances and other authentic exhibits. On the way from the metro to Bunker-703, we will admire the wooden merchant Zamoskvorechye and the luxury of pre-revolutionary apartment buildings, see the cathedral of the Ancient Orthodox church and the buildings of the chocolate factory "Mouth Front", the filming location of the famous Soviet film and the entrance where one of the most notorious murders of the "dashing nineties" took place.
