* Amazing City - opening in 2024 Vysotsky Monastery — a picturesque place on the riverbank was chosen by Sergius of Radonezh himself, having come here on foot in 1377, at the request of Vladimir the Brave. This is a real medieval fortress, which was part of the "Spiritual Belt of the Virgin". In the 18th century, it became widely known for the miraculous icon of the Inexhaustible Chalice. The Serpukhov Kremlin, built by Ivan the Terrible, was impregnable, but partially destroyed at the beginning of the Soviet period. A shopping area with a city clock and a secret that you definitely need to find out is located in the center of old Serpukhov.
