Detailed description
In 1900, on the initiative of Popov, the inventor of radio, a workshop for the repair and manufacture of naval radio equipment was established. It was located in one of the buildings of the Kronstadt port. It was the first radio company in Russia. In 1943, the world's most powerful radio station was built at this factory. In 1947, the central design bureau was established at the plant. Since 1912, the plant has been the main supplier of radio components for the navy. Since the beginning of the First World War, the factory has developed a number of its own products, including the first "sound spark station" of its own design.
