In this part of Dagestan, you will find dizzying panoramas of mountains and valleys, heroic structures, a narrow gorge with majestic cliffs, and a fantastically colored reservoir. And from us — care and comfort, delicious coffee in nature and, of course, stories about history (without overloading with dates), about the traditions of the highlanders and the national cuisine. What awaits you: • It's going to be a busy day, so we'll meet at your hotel early and hit the road — first it will pass through the Gimrinsky tunnel, the longest in Russia. We will stop halfway to climb the Gimrin Tower. There you will look at the valley and learn about the legendary jump of Imam Shamil. • The piercing turquoise waters of the Irganai reservoir, protected by mountains, will appear next to you. The perfect place to have a cup of coffee with a view — we'll make it right here! If desired, and the weather is right, you can ride the sap boards. • We will rush along the mountain serpentine to the Karadakh gorge, a narrow limestone gorge. We'll walk along the riverbed, where giant rocks will loom over us. Here you will feel the grandeur of the mountains. • It's time for lunch: let's go to a proven place with Dagestani cuisine. They will feed you real khinkal (not to be confused with khinkali!) and wonderful miracles (tortillas with stuffing). • After refreshment, we will go to the Georgian Datun temple of the 9th-11th centuries: we will talk about its history and the spread of Christianity in the Caucasus. • And finally, we will find ourselves at the main destination of the trip — in the abandoned, but still majestic village of Goor with its defensive towers.
