The Yekaterinburg Museum of Art is the largest art gallery in the Urals, which occupies two buildings. One of the buildings, the main one, has an extensive exposition and temporary exhibition areas. This building was reconstructed in the middle of the 18th century, and the museum has occupied it since 1985. The second building was built in 1912 by architect Babykin and was the home of the Sverdlovsk Art Gallery in 1936, which became a museum in the late 80s. The Museum of Art is active in the educational and scientific fields. It annually participates in the "Night of Museums" and is one of the most attractive venues with virtual tours, entertainment events and new exhibitions.
