Ostrovsky Square

Ostrovsky Square is the central district square in the historical center of St. Petersburg. It is a combination of Nevsky Prospekt, Zodchei Rossi Street, Malaya Sadovaya Street and Krylov Lane. The square is a collection of buildings created in the 19th century by architects K.I. Rossi and A.A. Modui. The square contains historical and cultural heritage of great importance to the federal Government. Ostrovsky Square is one of the greatest achievements of Russian urban planning. As part of the historical development of the central part of St. Petersburg, the square is included in the World Heritage List.
