* The Austrian Escorial is located in the northwest of Vienna. That's what they began to call him in the XVIII century, under the pope of our unforgettable Queen Maria Theresa. Charles VI wanted to build "a hovel for the king, and a palace for God." I didn't have time. The "Imperial Hut" was completed in the 19th century. Rather, they were rebuilding what had been built by the Romans. The monastery, located on the border with the capital of the country, traces its history back to the Roman Empire. There is a beautiful legend of the foundation of the monastery complex. - Leopold Babenberg went up the hill with his wife Agnes and the wind blew the wedding train off the head of the margrave's wife. In the place where the veil was found a few years later, the aforementioned Augustinian monastery was built. It has been developing since the 12th century, which is why it is valuable for us, for posterity. We will walk through the monastery with the keys that the brothers of the order will entrust to us.
