Museum of Leather craft

The Museum of Leather Craft is a modern educational exhibition and multimedia project aimed at preserving and promoting the historical heritage of Russia and the Uglich region. The museum is located right in the heart of Uglich, next to the marina, at the intersection of tourist routes. The colorful and stylish exhibition includes historical exhibits, works by contemporary artists, installations and multimedia compositions. In the first hall of the museum, visitors can get acquainted with the history of the development of the leather craft in Russia and in the city of Uglich, see models of machines and devices for leather dressing, and participate in the production process. In the second hall, visitors will find a magnificent collection of antique leather goods, from shoes and clothes to books and utensils. For lovers of modern art - an exhibition of works by Uglitsky masters of tanners Various excursion programs are provided for adult visitors, while children will enjoy an exciting interactive show and useful workshops.
